Layne is a 6 year veteran of the U.S. Army. He served as an officer in a Combat Engineer Unit. His duties focused on: force protection, convoy security, executive protection, demolitions, and counter IED operations. He was charged with planning and conducting operations involving as many as 120 people, covering hundreds of miles and millions of dollars worth of equipment.
Layne has spent the last five years in the Private Security Industry where he has provided security for corporate, industrial, and residential locations. He came over to Kane in 2013 where he has taken an active role in the Mobile Patrols division as a supervisor and has provided valuable support in operational planning and training. In addition, he manages the Executive Protection department within the Security Services Division. His team also handles the day to day training and inservice trainings for each of Kane Consulting’s divisions. He is a certified trainer in Taser, M.O.A.B (Management of Aggressive Behavior), and is a Master Resilience Trainer.
Layne creates, coordinates and delivers trainings on a regular basis. He facilitates the various trainers and curriculum for Kane. Layne also is valuable element in the Global Operations Division and works with the Nevada and Arizona offices with Training and Support.
