Ken Norton is from the great state of North Dakota. He graduated from the Jamestown University with a BA in History and Political Science.
Mr. Norton worked for the Salt Lake County Sheriff as a correctional officer for twenty years. He participated in training many new correctional officers in correct search and intake techniques, internal security control as well as housing protocol and cell entry. He was part of the Jail Transition Team, writing new policy and overseeing some of the construction as well as jail design. He has worked in all 3 jails in Salt Lake County, including the former Metro Facility, the Oxbow Facility and as well as the Adult Detention Center.
After leaving Salt Lake County, Ken was the site manager at a major military rocket manufacturing facility in Utah. After that he joined the team at Kane as a patrol officer. He quickly advanced from supervisor to Operations Manager. Mr. Norton is part of the management team which handles security for all Utah clients. He has also been privileged in attending and participating in numerous trainings with federal and local law enforcement on subjects such as active shooter, riot training and arrest techniques, and site and personal protection.
